Alicante is a highly urbanized city in Spain. The city is also the capital of the province under the same name and regarded as the province's center for entertainment and business.

Known for its historical Castle (Santa Barbara) and its port, the city is also regarded as the province's cultural center. Festivities are never lacking in the city as summers in Alicante means two-month long festivities in the Paseo del Puerto.

Located 7 miles south of Alicante, it is estimated that the travel time from the airport to the city center takes less than 30 minutes by bus. The nearest bus stop for the city center is Bus Stop 30 and the bus leaves every 20 minutes.
