Costa del Sol Beach

Costa del Sol is located in the province of Malaga in Spain. What was once a fishing region has been turned into a tourist destination over the last hundred years. The name Costa del Sol literally means the Sun Coast because of its mild climate which makes it very popular for outdoor activities and to just enjoy its long-reach beaches at any day of the year.

Over 2 million tourists flock Costa del Sol each year and they usually arrive from the airport in Malaga and are heading towards the different resorts on the coast of Gibraltar to Nerja. There are lots of popular resorts in the area such as Mijas Costa and Marbella.

The Eastern Costa del Sol is distinct from the Western Costa del Sol in terms of property development. At the Eastern side from Malaga onwards, you’d see beautiful cliffs that go as tall as 200 meters in height. At Nerja you’ll find the Nerja Caves which is definitely breathtaking and is used to host annual events of the region. The Western Costa del Sol begins at Malaga to the border of the Cadiz province.  This side is more developed in terms of infrastructure and is more popular for the tourists.
