Costa Blanca Beach

Costa Blanca history

Costa Blanca is a part of the province of Alicante and its name’s literal meaning is White Coast. The history of Alicante goes back to 711 AD when Spain was invaded by the Moors and they had a major influence in the region. In 1492, the Moors were expelled by Ferdinand & Isabella although both the Christians and the Moors fought for the land for over 400 years until eventually the Christians took over completely. Now, Costa Blanca is one of Alicante’s most popular tourism destination.
